It started with a practical problem: where do we store our Bromptons?
Quanda thought he had the solution — the IKEA Kallax.
But as they stood in the aisle, Cass shook her head: “It doesn’t match the house.”
She was right.
Most options we found were boxy, sharp-edged, had ugly exposed screws and made of cheap plywood that will peel over time. They just didn’t belong in our carefully curated mid-century modern home.
We were looking for something different — warm wood tones, clean lines, gentle curves and quality that lasts. A piece that would showcase our bikes, not just store them. Something that respected the elegance of the Brompton as much as it respected the design of our home.
And that’s how this project began — not just as a storage solution, but as a quiet rebellion against compromise. A way to bring craft, calm, and considered design into everyday living.
